Often, teacher’s are worried about students respecting them, demanding respect, etc. — and that has a place when working with students. But, it’s only one side of the story. Showing respect to your students AND treating them with basic human dignity is also so very important. It is the foundation of healthy relationships, positive rapport & relationship building — and can also go along ways toward classroom climate and management!
